The current development in south africa-killings and attacking Nigerian citizen of economic community of west africa states(ECOWAS)needs such to be desires.The recent development has been in the air for the past two years contrary to united nations universal declaration of human rights which spells out recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inslienable rights of members of human family, is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world".Its stressed further that disregard and contempt for human rights have resulted in barbaric acts which outraged the conscience of mankind, and the advent of a world in which human has been proclaimed as the highest aspiration of the common people.It also stated that if men is not compelled to have recource, as a last resort , to rebellion against tyranny and appression, that human rights should be protected by the rule of law".(ECOWAS)aims and objectives as set -out under article 2 of the treaty stated among others are (1)promotion of cooperation and development.To promote cooperation and development in all fields of industry, transport, telecommunications, energy, agriculture, naturak resources, commerce, monetary and financiacial questions and social and cultural matters for the purpose of raising the standard of luving of uts people of closer relations among its members and of contributing to the progress and development of african continent.Article 4 united nations universal declaration of human rughts resolution 219A Iii of 10th December 1948 stated that"No one shall be held in slavery or servitude:Slavery and the skave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms".Article 5 and 9 enumerated"No one shall be subjected to the torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.Whilist 9 states"No one shall be subjected to arbutrary arrest, detention or exile.It is demoralize act tha action can be so watchful to see their people draging their names into mud.This allowing it to generate to the extent of being a laughing stock in the international communities.Article 13(1).Everyone has the right to freedom of movement and residence within the borders of each state(2)Everyone has the right to leave any country, including his own and to return to his country.It is degrading to hear inspite of long existing cordial relationship between the two countries result to humiliation and torture members-countries.One would have expect the warring people to channel their grievance through the appropriate quarter rather than be attack sheep of the country.For the interest of the peace and harmony, Federal Government is herebt advise to expedite action and call a meeting of the 16 countries of ECOWAS to resolves the crises apporties blame to whoever contravening the Law of ECOWAS.Nigeria Government on their part should be repartiate the culprit back to the country.Thus will in no way serve as a deterrent to other immigrant/emmigrants to neighbouring countries.They should be a worthy ambassador of our country rather than forment trouble in another country.Starn measure should be taken to ensure strike compliance to the rules and regulation of ECOWAS.Federal Government  should arise and bail our citizens out of ill-treatment and human right activist should wakeup to rescue their compatriots.The case of fire for fire should be rule out for the interest of peace and fair play(unity).YUSUFF M.A.
